Missing parts.

I have decided to write my blog in English from now on. Main reason is because the people over here in Beijing accidently bumped into my blog and decided to read it. From now on, I will have to be careful what I write ;) It's only been 2 days ago that I've updated this blog, but the sunshine woke me up this morning and I felt like typing some stuff that I forgot mentioning last time. I guess it's going to be a blog about the people who left the last couple of weeks. I do know that a lot of you don't know them, but if you're interested in reading, just keep on reading. But, first of all I would like you to meet our newest and cutest friend: Bunny/

Bunny, our new roommate and my little pet:

Bunny, the size of my hand.
Like 2 weeks ago I bought a new pet. I was walking home from class with some friends and at some point I saw a guy who was selling fish, turtles, hamsters, rabbits,... I couldn't resist the little, cute bunny's and I started doubting "Should I buy a bunny? Yes? No?" My roommate told me that it was a bad idea, buying a rabbit. I, on the other hand, was pretty convinced that it was a good idea. At least, I saved a bunny! Tumtumtum! The condition that the rabbits where living in, were just awful. They had like a small cage, not much bigger then theirself and there was no food at all. They all lookes very ... scared and chilly. So, after 10 minutes I decided I would buy a black, dwarf bunny. I named him ... Bunny! I do have to say, he has grown a lot and he seems more alive than before. I know, he's spoiled.
The Brazilians leaving:

It's kind of weird how close you can get with people on a very short time. I do remember when I first met, beginning of January when we decided to go to Underground Rebel Bingo. That night, I didn't really talk to them, I was paying more attention to the drinks and the music. We started to call them 'The Brazilians', they were friends from back home and they decided to come to China for 2 months. In the beginning I didn't really know them. Our conversations were mainly a friendly 'hello' and 'what's up?'. Then we went on our trip to Haerbin en there I got to know them. In those couple of days I got really close to Manuela and Daniel. Unfortunately they left in end of February. As usual, they also planned a 'goodbye-party' and dinner at their place.

Julie and Chantalle leaving:

The same story here. Julie was a girl from France and decided to stay here in Beijing for 2 months. She left like 2 weeks ago. Chantalle came here end of December. I do remember her when I saw her for the first time. It was at the Christmas Party at our friend's place. She was standing in the corner, eating something. She didn't know all the people and I felt a little bad for her, so I dragged her out to the couch and introduced her to the people. Bam, that was the beginning of a good adventure for her here in China ;D.  She left 3 weeks ago but I've heard she will be back on the 20th of March! The first time that I saw Julie was also at the Underground Rebel Bingo party. As I've said before, that night I wasn't really talking to the new peeps. But the times after that I saw her, I had a good feeling about her. When the girls left, they also had a dinner and a party afterwards. We always ended up in Juicy ... A bar/club where we go every weekend since November. Don't get me wrong, we had some good and crazy times at Juicy. Maar het wordt dringend tijd om andere oorden te verkennen, ASAP!

Birthdayweek:

Houseparty.
Mix.
First week of March was a Birthdayweek. 3 friends had their birthday in the same week, so they decided to have a BirthdayWEEK here in Beijing. I do have to say it was acceptable. I would have expected partying all night, every day. But thanks it wasn't :D I think I wouldn't make it. Monday we started to celebrate Chris' his birthday. We all had dinner and afterwards some drinks. Wednesday was Anna's and Jessy's birthday. They all had Beijing Kaoya, I'm not really a big fan of the beijingduck so I decided to join them later. I was glad when we decided to go to Suzy Wong, but eventually we ended up in Juicy, again. Friday was the houseparty that they organized at their apartement. The 3 birthdaypeeps invited like a lot of people. A lot of them that I didn't really know. Afterwards we went to Mix, actually everyone was everywhere, quite difficult to stay together with such a big group. I lost the 2 other birthdaypeeps, but our Anna stayed with us till the bitter end! ;) I do have to say, it was a very long time ago that I had so much fun while going out. It made me think of the first weeks when I got here in Beijing. Partying till 6-7 in the morning. Taking the cab back home while the sun is starting to rise up. You see people leaving their apartements because they're headed to work.

798 Art District:

798 Art District.
Last Sunday we decided to visit 798 Art District with school. We met at 11am in Dongzhimen. When I came there ....................... I was pretty shocked by how many Belgian people showed up. Ja lap, ik voelde me efkes terug in België zeg. Overal hoorde ik Vlaams en accenten die me direct terugbrachten naar Antwerpen en omgeving. I guess we were with 40 people and 70% of them where Belgians. I just went because I wanted to spend some time with the people. The first weeks when I was in Beijing I also went to 798. So, this time was just to take some pics of the people instead of the art that they were showing. Pretty soon we splitted up and did our own thing.

Well, you Beijing people, I hope you had a great time reading this blog.
It's all because of you why I'm typing in English ;)

Big kisses from Beijing.
